Where's the air conditioning?

Definitely not at my apartment, but I've been crankin' the fans and portable A/C unit in my bedroom and got to work recently and here is what I have been working on.

Sorry for the lack of updating.....I was in Orlando for a weekend then just came back from Vegas! Good times! Hopefully after by birthday weekend I can actually work on some new art projects.....I know I know, I'm being lazy......guess that's what happens when you get old....

At the Bar

Yep, I'm sitting here blogging right now. I figured I would rather sip some beer than whatever non-coffee drink I'll end up getting at a coffee shop. At the Blind Robin at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening sipping PBR, that's the life huh? :)

New painting

Well, I started the background awhile ago with the cut out patterns but I didn't know where to go from there. Recently I got some inspiration and I think this is now finished. It takes me awhile before I can finally call a piece finished. I leave it out where I can look at it everyday and see if there is anything I need to tweak. This might be lead to a series.......we'll see!


Technical Problems

There has been a lack of updating due to some technical problems with the Internet (well, errr, my neighbors wireless) so hopefully I will make it to a cafe this weekend to do some good ol' blogging.

Speaking of cafes....this is one of my favorites spots in Chicago and it's right by my apartment!

So today is probably the nicest warmest day in Chicago for the year so far and I have a cold. Oh well, at least it forced me to stay home and finish up some pieces and frame them

After getting back from a few drinks at Gold Star I decided to do some spray paint work.......was a pretty good night!

Art and Craft Nook

My art space is finally coming together! Here are a few pictures and soon I'll post pictures of my next project, giving some life to a plain clock I got from Ikea. 






Block Print

Printing at home isn't the easiest but I still love the process. Here is a recent one color print I made just to get back into the printing mind set. I like to print then sew into the paper...etc and make it a mixed media piece. 



All the cool kids are doing it...

I have finally joined the world of blogging...I hear all the cool kids are doing it, ha. Here I am going to post past and present work as well as thoughts on future projects from fine art to craft. 

Here is a pic of this button ball I am going to use in an installation. There will be multiple sizes all hanging with colored thread dripping from it onto the ground. I'm not set on the teal color...maybe a light buff with red and pink colored thread.
