Dear Residents of Chicago

Specifically the residents of East Village, Wicker Pack, West Town and Ukranian Village:

Shovel your f&#king sidewalks! I know it's sucks but it's really not that hard. I haven't face/ass planted the sidewalk yet this season but I can tell it's gonna happen if you all keep being lazy.

Hugs and kisses

Weekend Wrap up

This past weekend was pretty damn good I must say. Friday was the Robbie Busch opening at Rotofugi and the first night of the weekend long Depart-ment. Saturday was a trip downtown to get Naked Raygun/Hot Water Music/Shot Backer tickets and some wandering around. Oh and that night was the holiday Christmas party with open bar action....Then Sunday was Renegade Craft fair! Whew! Here's some pictures! I'll be posting some progress on my new painting hopefully this week so check back!

Admin shot at the work holiday party! It was a lady shot (lemon drop, haha)

Downtown Christmas Market

Fun Project

I started with a $5 mirror from Family Dollar

Then took out the mirror...

Spray painted the frame pink using Montana spray paint

Added some framing hardware and strung some wire across the frame and voila! A new way to hang artwork inspirations and my own work or whatever else!

Thrift Store Finds

I found some great stuff at Salvation Army in Michigan over thanksgiving break! I picked up a few books and vintage Florida plate (pictured below) and some frames for my work.

Leaving town for  few days. I love Chicago but sometimes you gotta get out of the city.

Off to Michigan Wednesday after work, Happy Thanksgiving and all that jazz.

XOXOX

Time to purge

I have a lot of, well, just stuff. Including a lot of prints that never see the light of day because I don't like looking at them. I always think of what I could of done different to make it better. So time to purge! I'm destroying some tonight..... It's like burning a photo of an ex boyfriend, time to move on and not be nostalgic for something that's no good.....

More from the Revival Tour

One more video! This is one of my favorite Hot Water Music songs by the way...."Lonely liver suspended in liquid" is one of the best lines ever.

Pincushions!

A few new items in the etsy shop! Pincushions! More to come soon as well as some ornaments (ya know you want some for holidays gifts, hint hint). Check out my etsy shop here

Esperanza Art Fair and Fundraiser

This past Thursday I participated in Esperanza's winter fundraiser which included art and craft vendors. I had a great time and met some great people! Here are some photos from the event of my little display and me selling, hooray!

Snow!

Well almost snow, there were flurries on my way back from Sweet Cakes this afternoon. Good day to stay inside where it's warm and work on crafts! Here's some on the ornaments I have been working on for the art and craft show I am going to be doing Thursday.

New Pincushions!

Here's a few pincushions I made last night in preparation for the art and craft show I'm going to be in at Esperanza Community Services for a fundraiser event. It's next Thursday so I better start working!

Best Day Ever

I couldn't be happier and couldn't be more proud to be a Chicago resident right now

Seriously

I've barely been home in the last week and when I am all I want to do is sleep or watch my Netflix. So yeah...some new things will be coming soon my faithful readers (all two of you). In the meantime, enjoy this lovely Microsoft paint project I did a few months ago for one of our sales guys. It's a pickle sales man. I know, I'm awesome.

quick update

Hi everyone! I was down for the count for a few days with a cold and now I'm feeling better and am now ready for shows tonight and tomorrow! The Revival Tour with Chuck Ragan, Sundowner & Tim Barry is tonight and The Falcon and Methadones are tomorrow night. I'm so excited! So I will be working when I have time (and am not hungover) on some new ornaments for the etsy shop and hopefully getting back to painting on canvas since I haven't been too inspired with my small paper pieces. Oh and I saw Canadian Rifle last night at the Cobra Lounge and recommend if you get the chance to check them out live.

Oh and feel free to email me to say hi or leave a comment on anything....I see my blog readership has gone up recently and would love to hear from you!
